Bhubaneswar : The Odisha Government has prohibited strikes across the state’s electricity sector for a period of six months with immediate effect under the Odisha Essential Services (Maintenance) Act, 1988 (ESMA).
The order covers all establishments and personnel under major power utilities and organisations, including GRIDCO, OPTCL, OHPC, OPGC, TPCODL, TPNODL, TPSODL, TPWODL, along with other power sector entities operating in the state.
The move has been aimed at ensuring uninterrupted power generation, transmission and distribution services across #Odisha, safeguarding essential electricity supply and grid operations
